Bloomd connects older and younger people so they can share knowledge, experience and company. I worked on the frontend as a PWA, so it runs in the browser on any device and can also be installed like a desktop app.

What I did

• Built a simple, readable interface designed for older users.
• Made it an installable PWA that works on mobile and desktop.
• Worked on the badge system that rewards people on their profile.
• Integrated Twilio and TalkJS for chat, audio and video appointments between users, plus a guided tour for new users.

Skills I used

Accessible design for older users, building PWAs, real time communication, and integrating third party services such as video, chat and identity checks.
